David Thomas
David was a certified Iyengar yoga teacher for over 2 decades. He has been teaching out of his own studio in Halifax since the late 1980's. From his years of practice, teaching, trips to study with the Iyengars' in India and other senior teachers in the Iyengar tradition, David has a wealth of knowledge to help students.
Carol-Joy Kaill
Carol-Joy has practiced yoga for over 18 years, 10 dedicated to learning the Ashtanga Primary series. She attends gentle, Iyengar and restorative yoga classes, always considering herself a beginner. As a certified yoga teacher she offers introductory yoga for adults of all ages and abilities and Prenatal yoga for women past their first trimester. She has an MSC in adult education and has worked in health promotion as a teacher and manager for over 20 years.
Nancy Stewart
Nancy discovered yoga eight years ago and has continued her practice in completing the 200 hour certification in Mindfulness Teacher Training. She is passionate about creating safe and welcoming classes, embracing diversity, and believes yoga is inclusive for every body. She teaches students with a focus on compassion, kindness, and curiosity.
Sarah Pound
Sarah has practiced yoga for many years, graduating with a certificate from Mindfulness Teacher Training. She is a music therapist and mother. She shares great enthusiasm, gentleness, music and of course her yoga skills with her students.
Navjeet Kaur
Navjeet is a Kundalini Trained Yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga for over sixteen years. Navjeet was trained in Oakville Ontario and has since taught Kundalini yoga in many places around the world. She now lives in Wolfville NS, where she does Emotional Processing work with clients. She developed Soul yoga three years ago which combines the powerful opening aspects of Kundalini yoga with soul based emotional processing work. She is passionate to be sharing this style of yoga which is both powerful and healing on many levels.
Leigh Muething
Leigh has been practicing yoga since he was 16. Using it at first as a balance to martial arts, yoga gradually became a focus in his life. This led to completing a 200 hour yoga teaching certification course. His personal practice is a mix of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga. He teaches flow-style classes with a focus on alignment in the poses. One of his favourite activities is doing yoga with his 3-year old.
Catherine Guest
Cathy has been teaching inter-disciplinary yoga on the South Shore of Nova Scotia since 2003. Catherine's focus is in the Ashtanga tradition in the lineage of Sri Pattabhi Jois. She continues her learning with many teachers including Hart Lazer. She teaches yoga in her beautiful Sail Loft Studio which is perched on the edge of St. Margaret's Bay. Catherine's special interests include chant (Sanskrit), writing, music, dance, shamanic study and native spirituality.
Anastasia Kaur
Akasha Kaur is a KRI trained Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher (Kundalini Research Institute - Espanola, New Mexico). In addition to her KY training, Anastasia is also a trained Hatha Yoga Instructor (Esther Myers' Yoga Studio - Toronto, Ontario) and Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga teacher (Golden Bridge Yoga Centre - Los Angeles, California). Anastasia has been a student of yoga since 1990, and began teaching in 2000. She lives on a farm on the South Shore with her husband and two boys.
