Chakra Workshop for all levels Print E-mail
THE CHAKRA ENERGY SYSTEM: A PATHWAY TO WHOLENESS
This workshop will introduce the participant to the seven energy centres found within the subtle body. A multi-faceted approach will be taken whereby the attributes and principles found in each Chakra are explored through discussion, meditation, self-reflection, and breathwork. The accompanying asana  practice is designed for all levels and the poses will be  restorative in nature and further modified if necessary.

Many practical ways to heal and balance each Chakra will be included. This integral study of the Chakras will address physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance within your Inner Self. When Chakra knowledge is personally applied, it can be a rich formula towards feeling grounded, emotionally safe, mentally in charge, inspired and imaginative, and intimately connected to and guided by the inherent energies of our Universe.

When:  Sunday, February 28
Time:  9:30 am to 5:00 pm
Cost: $90.00 + HST
Teacher: Betty MacDonald
Registration required by Sunday, February 21

Yoga Workshop on Upper back, neck and shoulders Print E-mail
In this workshop, we will explore how stiffness in the upper back contributes to neck and shoulder problems. The roundness of the upper back moves the shoulder girdle forward making it difficult to bring the arms over the head. It isn't just the older person that can have upper back stiffness, it is a place in our bodies that a lot of us don't move every often.
If you are having problems with the upper back, shoulders, or neck this would be the workshop for you. If there is enough interest then there is a possibility that a weekly class with emphasis in this area can be started.
Date:  Sunday, March 7
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Cost $25.00 plus HST
Teacher:  David Thomas, certified Iyengar teacher and studio owner in Halifax
Pre-registration required
